RUSH

Rush is an event that lets prospective greek members go and meet with fraternities. There are many benefits once you have decided to Rush. Many of those benefits consist of  lifelong friendships, social aspects, academic success, networking, servicing the community, and leadership development. When going through Rush you will meet a lot of men from different fraternities, that claim they are the best because they are good in one area. This is where Pi Kappa Phi distinguishes themselves from the rest. The Gamma Kappa chapter is successful in everything that we do and never settle for ordinary.

Athletics

Our Intramurals program is always at the top among every sport that we participate in. We have won the Fratetnity league Flag Football Championship six times since 2000. Our Softball team won the Fraternity Softball Championship in 2009 and  was upset in the championship the previous two years, but has made it to the All-mens tournament both years. Our Basketball team went to the playoff this year as the second seed before losing in the semi-finals to the eventual champions. Our Soccer team won the Fraternity Championship(Undefeated) in 2009 and has had a regular season record over the last four years of 35-3.

Philanthropy

Pi Kappa Phi is the only national fraternity that created its own non-profit organization, PUSH America. The Gamma Kappa chapter has exceeded previous expectations by donating $2500 to its philanthropy. We raised the money by hosting our annual PUSH Pagent, Coin Wars, as well as holding our first annual PUSH Week in Spring  2008. Since PUSH America was started the Gamma Kappa chapter has donated over $65,000 and plans to continue to donate more time and money to this good cause.

Leadership

Pi Kappa Phi's motto is "Leaders by Choice" and the men of Gamma Kappa fulfill that expectation very well. We currently have members serving on the Interfraternity Council Executive Board, Interfraternity Council Judicial Board, and GSU Success Center leader. We strongly encourage our members to participate in On-campus organizations while leading our fraternity as well.

Academics

Pi Kappa Phi always strives to succeed in the classroom, it is first acknowledged during ones pledgeship. This year we have scored higher than the All-Mans GPA .We strongly encourage our associate members and brothers to attend our study sessions that we hold at the Pi Kappa Phi house and also at the Georgia Southern Library. We have just installed a new twelve man conference table, new filing cabinets, new chairs for the conference table, and a scanner. Our older brothers help tutor our younger brothers in classes that they have already passed, which is another reason why we have been successful in reaching out academic goals.

Social

While we strive to excel in academics we also like to let loose and have parties. Every year we host our annual Swamp Party which last year we had two parts, a day party as well as a night party. We also have socials with many of the sororities that are on Greek Row. This past year we went to Homecoming with the stunning ladies of Phi Mu. We also have tailgates for every home game where we grill out and enjoy watching our Georgia Southern Eagles win. We also have Parents Weekend during the football season and we host a Band party after that home game. Formal is a lot fun for us, we take a trip to a designated place and hold our Annual Rose Ball.
